Chapter 30: The Permissibility Of Branding Animals Anywhere But On The Face, And This Is Recommended In The Case Of Animals Given As Zakat Ot Jizyah
بَاب جَوَازِ وَسْمِ الْحَيَوَانِ غَيْرِ الْآدَمِيِّ فِي غَيْرِ الْوَجْهِ وَنَدْبِهِ فِي نَعَمْ الزَّكَاةِ وَالْجِزْيَةِ
Sahih Muslim 2119 e
Anas b. Malik reported
I saw in the hand of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) an instrument for cauterisation and he was cauterising the caracia collected as Zakat.حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ، بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ فِي يَدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْمِيسَمَ وَهُوَ يَسِمُ إِبِلَ الصَّدَقَةِ .
